Well everyone this term is over

Well this term is now over. Now that I have had to worst week ever making my blood pressure heart attack high and my stress level through the roof. So glad it is time for a break. Going to enjoy the time off with my family and lower my stress and BP of course. Bye bye for now all.

Report: Google Buys Social App Designer, Slide

There are rumors going around that Google is developing a social network site to compete with Facebook. On the 5th of August Google confirmed there newly acquired social technology company Slide. Google will pay around "$228 million for Slide". They have also "invested $150 million in Zynga."

Google is looking for a way to bring family and friends closer together with fun and interesting information just for them. Slide they build online communities that are creative. With the merging of the two companies it will help bring social networking to a new level.

Slide created games and applications for Facebook, Myspace, Friendster, and other networking sites like Top Fish, Super Pocus Academy of Magic, SuperPoke Pets are just to name a few. Slide has "27 million" users in over "200 countries" per month.

There was a tweet from a "very creditable source" the confirmed the existence of Google Me which is the soon to be new social networking site from Google. However, the tweet was deleted; but, co-founder of Facebook stated that "Google Me is not a rumor."

From the looks of both of these articles Google has also invested in Zynga which has popular games like FarmVille, FronteiVille, and YoVille. Zynga also makes these games and many more for popular social network sites like Facebook and Myspace.

Week 8

Well I have finished all of week eights work. The game was fun to make just time consuming. I am definately going to keep that program on my computer and play with it later and make a different game. The access project was nice to have a tutorial for it cause access has a lot to remember and not my favorite one to use right now. That assignment was really time consuming as well but, I got it done.

Again this post was done right after the last one so the same thing will be done all weekend getting all of this work done for classes and studing for my exams.

Week 7

Well this week the part that is taking me the longest is coming up with questions for the interview of two people I have finished everything but that I am thinking up questions now of it and have been for 2 days. The power point assignment was pretty easy just time consuming. I liked learning about outlook. I now have outlook up and working for the first time ever because I never learned how to use it. I have it hooked up to my student email. However, I am still playing around with all of the other components.

This weekend my family and I are doing much of nothing. I am studying for a lab quiz, unit 3 exam and a final exam for next week in bio 232. I am also getting everything for this computer class done this weekend. I have a lot of practicing to do on excell though I tried the final practice and am having a hard time with the formulas but, the rest of it I am not having a problem with. I even decided to take and excell class next term to work with it some more.

Week 6

Wow, just realized this there is only 2 weeks left of this term. Well this week I used the 2007 access and that was new to me it was really interesting and I did learn from it. The part that took the longest for me to do this week was the assignements on access thank goodness there was tutorials on them all it help so much. Beings that I had no idea where to start on them.

This weekend my family and I did nothing but, go grocery shopping. We did try tonight BBQing a pizza and it was yummy. Let me tell you though it cooks really fast with a thin crust less the 5 min. My kids loved it too.

I get to study for my lab quiz in A&P tonight when I am done here. Then I get to study tomarrow for my 2nd exam. I really hope I pass this class it is really hard there was a lot to learn in the last chaper and the nervous system. This class was very informative though.

Well I am going to get off of here and start studying again so I can try and not fail this class.

Week 5

This week was an alright week. I didn't have any difficulties with this weeks assignments. It was just time consuming. I agian finished everything but, the final date and time I am going to get a schedual tomarrow before I leave campus. I am understanding the material. I did find the assignments helpful and informative for future uses.

We are not doing anything this week. I have a lot of studying to do. However, my mother in law is here in town again. I know it seems to be an every weekend occurance for her. LOL.

We did do something this weekend we all went to Mann's creek resevior. The kids all had a blast playing in the water.

I am going to get off of here and get some dinner made for my family. The kids are telling me they are all hungry... Talk to you all later.

I am bored today

Did my anatomy final today and still waiting for her to do a grade lol Hope I did good. Start the last 4 weeks of the term on monday which starts the nervous system in Human anatomy... fun fun... Enjoying my weekend this weekend get to stay away from any hard core studying til I know what Mr. Winter is gonna want to do.

I was so board today that I cleaned for 8 hours on much of nothing on 3 rooms the kitchen, laundry room, and living room now gonna do the rest tomarrow cause my mop broke I had it for too long and it rusted away lol didnt realize it was doing that either lol.


I am getting excited for next month start I am going back on a lifestyle change with The Biggest Loser Diet. I am also going to start P90X work out 7 days a week for 90 days and see what happens. I am going to create a new blog and post daily on my stats with how it is going and maybe someone will read it and do it for them selfs if I get good results.

Wow I am babbling You can tell my hubby is at work and all the kids are in bed I am bored. Well I guess I will get off of here let the dog in clean off my counters and go to bed I am so tired from the last 4 weeks of studying body parts.

Week 4

Well I have finished week 4 module and The things that took me the longest was the skill reviews. I was working on those for 5 hours more of cause I was confused with the way some of it was worded was hard to understand. I was in class today and for A and P and we actually took out the cadaver and I thought it was going to be something that was horrific but, it wasn't really that bad. The fermaldihide was the worst part, it was making my stomach churn.

With today being monday I am excited that I get to watch Secret Life of an American Teenager. I love this show.

I am hoping that this weekend I can get my yard finished and my house cleaned so I am trying to get ahead on this class so I know that I will not fall behind.

Week 3 post

Alright here is my week 3 post. I am going to admit that it has taking me longer this week to do the work for the class not because I wanted it to but because I had the 3 1 page papers to write as well as memorize the 206 bones in your body in one week. So I was more concentrated at that than anything else. When I acually did the last of the homework for this class it took me a good 4 hours to complete it all. You don't realize how hard it was for me to sit down and do all my homework this weekend because fo this beautiful weather we had this weekend. I just wanted to be outside. I am not having any problems so far with the class. Just trying to keep myself motivated to do the work with the weather being so beautiful and the kids wanting to go out and play.

In this class this week I feel I have enjoyed blogging the most. And watching the video on the future home and future shopping some of that was amazing but can we say that we are gonna all get lazy with the technology growing like it is.

My hubby gets to go back to work on monday and my oldest daughter starts summer school on monday as well.

Got to watch my kids play out at my parents this weekend my oldest played in the pool and the younger 3 stayed out beings that they are all afraid of the pool it is 14 foot by 5 feet deep, the kids are 17month old twins and a 21/2 year old.

My nephew got to stay the night tonight which is Sunday cause his mom had to work til 1 am.

I am also behind on all of my house work. I am so concentrated on passing my anatomy and physiology class. I am gonna tell you that this is a really hard class.

Well I better quit jibber jabbering and get off of here and work on my homework now for A&P cause I was procrastinating that too.. Good night to all.

Week 2 post

I feel that I am understanding what is being done so far in this class it is pretty easy. I really enjoy the facebook. Lol. Actually I liked that we learned where to find the operating system and how because I had to look that information up and didn't know how. I have to say when I took the first few quizes I knew what they were talking about but not what they were called I felt it was amusing.

It is not taking me very long to do the assignments I spend more time on the facebook but, that is nothing out of the ordinary for me cause I am addicted to it.


My husband has the next 2 weeks off of work for a retarded layoff for the whole plant, so I get to do all my homework. This is really nice for me cause I am also taking Bio 231 and 232 or A and P classes. So far I really and enjoying the class. I do have my inlaws coming back to town for 4th of July weekend. So, my Hubby and I are tring to decide what to do. I am also watching my nephew for my sister in law while she works she just moved to the area. It is a joy to have him.

My oldest daughter is going to start summer school on July 12th she is really excited about it.

I personally have started breeding guppies for my 75 gal fish tank. I am posting a really intersting to me anyway of a guppy giving birth. This video helped me when mine was ready to have hers.

• Talk with your kids about cyberbullying
• encourage your children to make friends to reduce the cyberbullying
• keep the family computer in a central location
• keep passwords secret
• look for signs of online bullying ex getting upset
• dont tolerate cyberbullying at home

what to do when your child is being cyberbullied

1. act immediately. let the child know you are there to help
2. save the evidence
3. tell your kids not to respond to the cyberbully ore retaliate
4. every effort should be made to find the cyberbully or held accountable.
5. block cyberbullies.

Saftey tips on blogging

There are a lot of teenagers that are blogging today that have some that reveal personal information. As the peers compete with eachother they begin to post more and more provocative pictures of themselves or their friends.

Parents should educate their kids about internet blogging. Here are some suggestions:

• evaluate the blogging service.
• establish rules for onlike use.
• save the web address of your childs blog for review
• check other blogs of positive examples
• screen what your child posts before they post it
• ask yourself or child if they are confortable sharing the information with the world

• avoid trying to outdo others
• never post provocative pictures
• use blogging sites with clearly stated terms of use
• never offer personal infromation
• keep blogs posititve
• assume what you publish is permanemt

You can help your child have education, fun gaming experience. It is best to educate yourself and your child/children. In learning about the game and whether it is acutally gaming or gambling. Few tips for protection

• Educate yourself: game ratings, terms of use, privacy statements.
• Observe: Pay attention to what they are playing, who they are playing with. be were you can see the monitor.
• Establish rules: Not to give out personal information, how long they can play, not chat with strangers friends only. This should all be done before the child plays the game.
• Monitor game chats or messages: Encourage children to let you know when there is something they shouldn't see like swearing, unrated language or sexual content so you can block or mute the offensive player. You can possibly report them to the administraitors.
• Ensure privacy: Instruct children to never give out pictures of them selves, name, addresses, phone numbers.
• Voice chat wisely: there are people out there that alter their voice and this feature is not recommended for younger children.
• Appropriate names: choose names that don't give out personal information, like Little_bear, or Princess101
• Beware cyberbullies: Learn how to deal with them
• Teach safe habits to children: Let the child know that if they feel unsafe to let you know so you can report them.
• Participate: Play with them they may not like it but at least you know they are safe.

Avoid gambling sites they are not for kids. They deal with winning and losing money and gaming sites do not. Parents need to decide if the game is appropraite, that gambling is illegal, make sure that it is understood how gambling works that is is addictive, also be award of the parental control settings of the computers.

Week 1 Post

I am pretty comfortable with computers. I used to be in a computer class in high school when we would take apart computers and put them together I also took an auto cad class. Now i don't rememeber how the puting them together goes I usually just call my brother for that one. Lol. It has taken me about 3 hours to do all the modules in week one but that is because I am a week behind for adding the class late. I actually have another blog but I forget what the login was. Lol. I always forget that I have them when I have started them with good intentions. So I am now enjoying this with blogging maybe I will get myself into a habit of writing in one.
